Hole 1
Par: 4
Blue: 360 Yards
Green: 347 Yards
Red: 327 Yards
Overview: A good drive should find the middle/ left of the fairway. This should leave a medium to short iron to an undulating green, where it can often be difficult to appreciate the location of the pin. The green is 2 clubs long and it doesn’t pay to be long! This is an easy green to 3 putt.
Hole 2
Par: 4
Blue: 411 Yards
Green: 381 Yards
Red: 372 Yards
Overview: The ideal drive is to the left of the side of the fairway, leaving a long to medium iron to a relatively small, well bunkered green, sloping sharply from back to front to back. Miss the green left and you may be stymied by the large oak tree. Right side and a difficult pitch will be encountered. Again, best miss is short.

Overview: Favour the left with your drive. This will leave a medium to short iron to a raised green, repelling any off target approaches. Long green, demanding particular attention to club selection.

Overview: Punch bowl green, demanding a long draw with a fairway wood or long iron to find the target. River runs all along left side. Short right is the best miss. Par here is always satisfying.
Hole 5

Overview: Semi dog-leg to left, requiring a long and accurate drive down the hill. Drive right of middle, requires a good mid iron to a well bunkered, sloping green. Excellent par 4, which punishes long second shots severely.

Par: 4 (Par 5 Ladies)

Green: 426 Yards
Red: 416 Yards
Overview: The toughest hole in Woodenbridge curves around the beautiful Ballyarthur Estate. A long drive right of centre leaves a long second to a repellent green. Miss the green left and you may be out of bounds. Right brings the large oak and bunker into play. A par here can set up a round.
Hole 7

Blue: 322 Yards
Green: 308 Yards
Red: 285 Yards
Overview: A short par 4 with a huge premium on accuracy. It demands a straight but not necessarily long drive. The fairway is sandwiched between out of bounds on the left and a lenghty bunker on the right. This will leave a short iron to a raised, heavily bunkered green. Anything left will find OB and anything long leaves a treacherous chip. Despite its index, this hole demands respect, particularly in windy conditions.

Blue: 121 Yards
Green: 113 Yards
Red: 100 Yards
Overview: This gem, the shortest hole in Woodenbridge, is played over the Avoca River. A short iron is required to find a severely pitched long green protected by bunkers. Anything long will find the back bunker, and short leaves a possible 3 putt. Devilish pin positions protect this potentially pivotal hole, which masquerades as a formality.

Blue: 502 Yards
Green: 486 Yards
Red: 464 Yards
Overview: The first par 5 on the course is not long, but requires a strategic approach. Perfect drives will find the left of the fairway, avoiding an almost perfectly placed bunker. Longer hitters may consider taking on the green in two, but this will demand either a very high second or a long fade to avoid the large oak on the right. Overdo it and you may find the river. Mortals should place their second to the left of the fairway, leaving a short pitch to a sloping green, repelling errant approaches. Classic risk or reward hole to complete the front nine.
Hole 10
Par: 4
Blue: 455 Yards
Green: 434 Yards
Red: 376 Yards
Overview: The longest par 4 on the course demands a long straight drive, avoiding the bunker on the left. Longer drivers can consider taking on this bunker and hugging the shortest line. The second shot will require a well targeted long to medium club to a relatively flat green. This hole usually plays longer than it looks. Be sure to club up and, should you par this hole, you will have made ground on the field.

Par: 3
Blue: 194 Yards
Green: 193 Yards
Red: 164 Yards
Overview: Long, difficult par 3, requiring a fairway wood or long iron into the prevailing wind. Water hazard left and OB to the right. Centre of the green is always the best play here. High handicapped golfers might consider playing short leaving themselves with an easy chip to the pin.
Hole 12
Par: 4
Blue: 353 Yards
Green: 341 Yards
Red: 290 Yards
Overview: Short dog-leg to the right, with shortcut protected by bunkers. Depending on the pin position, longer hitters may consider taking on the bunkers, which can leave a short pitch to the green. Prudent play requires a drive tending to the left of the fairway, leaving a short iron to the green, which features several slopes. Innocuous hole which can punish those short and will punish those long.
Hole 13
Par: 4
Blue: 386 Yards
Green: 375 Yards
Red: 311 Yards
Overview: This apparently straightforward hole runs parallel to the river on the right and is protected on the left by a long bunker. A good drive will leave a medium shot to a very undulating green, protected by a deceptively positioned bunker some 10 yards from the front right. Approach shots beyond the pin will leave treacherous downhill putts.
Hole 14
Par: 4
Blue: 295 Yards
Green: 284 Yards
Red: 255 Yards
Overview: Another risk reward hole with a large tree positioned directly in the center of the fairway. Players can choose to take on the tree or play left and short of the fairway bunker. A classic short par 4 which can punish the careless and reward the risk taker. Beware going long or right, finding OB. Left finds the bunker, featuring a large tree.
Hole 15
Par: 5
Blue: 500 Yards
Green: 473 Yards
Red: 454 Yards
Overview: Straight par 5, on in two for the longer hitter. Shorter hitters should play short of the fairway bunkers, leaving a pitch of about 100 yards to a long, 2 tiered green. Don’t go long, or you leave yourself a downhill putt.
Hole 16
Par: 4
Blue: 357 Yards
Green: 341 Yards
Red: 290 Yards
Overview: Short par 4. Drive to the left. This will leave a medium to short iron to a sloping green, where it is rarely possible to see the bottom of the flag.
Hole 17
Par: 3
Blue: 167 Yards
Green: 153 Yards
Red: 97 Yards
Overview: Depending on the wind, this par 3 can play from a fairway wood to a short iron. With the river winding around this hole from the right, anything fading will find the hazard. Anything left can leave a devilish chip to a hogsback green. The best miss is long. 3 here is always good and 4 is rarely disastrous. If your card is still intact you are almost there.
Hole 18
Par: 5
Blue: 551 Yards
Green: 536 Yards
Red: 456 Yards
Overview: Magnificent finishing hole across the river. Left means water and right brings the bunkers into play. The ‘Tiger’ line is directly at the clubhouse, but this line is rarely required. Centre of the fairway leaves a wood across the road in front of the clubhouse, negotiating the fairway bunkers on the way. This should leave a short pitch to a large two tier green. If the pin is on the top tier, OB can be a real possibility for those flag hunting. Pin on the bottom is the easier. Even with this short shot, centre of the green is the brief, especially in front of the usual gallery. A 5 here in competition is always good and often excellent.
